2.4 magnitude earthquake reported near Knoxville overnight

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The United States Geological Survey reported a 2.4 magnitude earthquake southeast of Knoxville just before midnight on Monday.

The quake occurred at 11:56 p.m. about 4.3 miles southeast of Knoxville. The USGS reported the depth of 11.74 miles.
