Sunshine and warmer afternoon temps.

  • Monday: Partly sunny and seasonable Breezy at times. High: 50°.
  • Tuesday: (20%) chance for a light rain/snow mix in spots. Mostly cloudy. High: 45°.

Expect mostly sunny skies early with some clouds filtering in form time to time. Highs today will reach to the upper 40s to low 50s for some! There will be a bit of a southwesterly breezy at time up to 20 mph.

The next system that approaches looks less and less impressive. The chance for a rain/snow mix is low at 20%. There is a slim opportunity for a few snow showers/light rain showers Tuesday, with a better chance for precipitation now appearing to be over Southeast Kentucky, Southwest Virginia and perhaps the Northern Valley. Nonetheless, the chance for precipitation Tuesday remains low.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected Tuesday with highs in the mid 40s. Another shot of cold air returns for Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 30s and partly sunny skies.

There is a 30% chance for a rain/snow mix Friday, which may transition over to snow showers Friday night. So far accumulation looks more likely for the Smokies, Southeast Kentucky and areas closer to the Tri-Cities. We will keep you updated!

It is a cold start Saturday with morning lows in the teens and low 20s. A few flurries could linger early Saturday morning before we dry out. By next Sunday highs are back into the mid 40s.

This a great time to make sure to download our FREE weather app by searching “Knoxville Weather” in Apple iTunes or the Google Play store. That way you can get alerts while sleeping (make sure your phone/tablet isn’t on silent though) if any are issued. Plus, we stream our newscasts and severe weather coverage through this app as well, so we can be seen if your power does goes out.
